Education Minister Stresses the Need for 21st Century Skills

Phnom Penh, June 26, 2024 – During a recent graduation ceremony at Golden Gate America School in Phnom Penh, the Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports, Hang Chuon Naron, emphasized the critical need for skills like critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurship, and smart technology expertise for students in the 21st century.

Minister Chuon Naron highlighted these skills as essential for young people to effectively lead in the future and to contribute to national economic growth.

The Minister also detailed his ministry's commitment to enhancing the quality of education at all levels, from early childhood to higher education, with a particular focus on these pivotal skills.

In his speech, Chuon Naron praised the combined efforts of parents, teachers, educational management teams, and communities in fostering quality education throughout Cambodia.
